Whether this was due to the natural flow of time and the loss of the ability to read previous lines or the loss of written data, or a coercive decision, is one of the debates of the leading article. This research first examines the possible and documented next developments of the previous historical information to the Sassanid period and then, within this analysis, what signs of knowledge and lack of knowledge can be traced from Cyrus II to the Sassanid era. In this article, it was seen that around the western borders of the Sassanid Empire, it was possible to have a documentary knowledge of the identity of Cyrus in its historical form. Why and how some of the historical information related to the Achaemenid period, and especially the era of Cyrus II, was excluded from court historiography in the early Sassanid era is the basis of a leading study. پیرو محتوای متون پهلوی ساسانی (فارسی میانه) و بازتاب میراث اطلاعات آن‌ها در تاریخ‌نگاری دوره اسلامی، امروزه این اتفاق نظر وجود دارد که دست‌کم از روزگار ساسانی تا عصر مطالعات نوین، کوروش بزرگ هخامنشی آن‌گونه که هویت تاریخی‌اش مطابق با سندهای باستان‌شناختی و منابع مکتوب وصف شده، مورد شناخت دربار و جامعه ساسانی نبوده است. این که آیا علت این مساله جریان طبیعی گذشت زمان و از میان رفتن قدرت قرائت خطوط پیشین و یا از دست رفتن داده‌های مکتوب بوده است یا یک تصمیم قهری، یکی از بحث‌های مقاله پیش‌رو است. این پژوهش، ابتدا به بررسی بعدی ممکن و مستند از تحولات اطلاعات تاریخی پیشین به دوره ساسانی می‌پردازد و سپس، به این مسئله می‌پردازد که چه نشانه‌هایی از شناخت و نبود شناخت از کوروش بزرگ در روزگار ساسانیان قابل پیگیری است. در این نوشته دیده شد که از حدود مرزهای غربی شاهنشاهی ساسانی، شواهدی در دست‌اند که نشان می‌دهند شناخت مستند از سیما و هویت کوروش به همان شکل تاریخی‌اش وجود داشته است. این که به چه علت و به چه نحوی بخشی از اطلاعات تاریخی مرتبط با روزگار هخامنشی و به ویژه عصر کوروش بزرگ، از روند تاریخ‌نگاری درباری در روزگار اولیه ساسانی کنار گذاشته شد، پایه بنیادین مطالعه پیش‌روست. https://jhss.ut.ac.ir/article_90139_cd3d804747cf4c11f495534083caf222.pdf
