One of China's most important concerns in recent decades has been urgent need for energy in order to maintain economic development process, which has led the country's elites to adopt new approaches to maintain their presence in Persian Gulf. One of these approaches was "realism", in the shadow of which China was able to establish and pursue its long-term goals in Persian Gulf. Hence, this article's purpose is identifying the "realism" approach, and investigate it's impact on China's foreign policy in interaction with Persian Gulf, and the main question is what achievements has the adoption of realistic approach in foreign policy in recent decades brought to China?
